Competition categories vary from event to event. The categories are as follows:

• Little Rippers 7 years & under
• PARK Under 15 novice (open & female only groups)
• PARK Under 9 expert (open & female only groups)
• PARK Under 12 expert (open & female only groups)
• PARK Under 15 expert  (open & female only groups)
• PARK 15+ Amateur (open & female only groups)
• PARK 15+ Elite (open & female only groups)
• STREET Under 16 
• STREET 13+ Amateur (open & female only groups)
• STREET 15+ Elite (open & female only groups)

Some events will also have additional categories such as:

• High Hop – Open (rounds 1,3 and 6)
• High Air – Open (Rounds 3 and 5)
• Best Trick – Open (all rounds)

The age category will be defined by the riders age on the day of the event.

Participants older that 15 years may choose to enter Amateur or Elite but not both.

Amateur category is generally defined as a rider that is already proficiant in either park or street riding. Rider’s with “flow” or “product” sponsorship deals may enter amateur. The contest is not aimed at adult beginners.

Elite generally defined as a sponsred rider or a rider earning an income from either park or street riding.

Rider’s may not enter amateur if they have already entered elite in the same year.

You may enter as little or as many as you would like. Each event will have limited numbers in each category due to time restrictions.

Only the Elite and Women’s Park categories will be following an accumulative points system. Whereby, their best 4 results from the 6 round series will be totalled for overall results.

Amateur & Youth categories will be stand alone contests at each round.

At Round 6, more spaces will be opened in all categories for a British National Championships (Categories will start at 7 years). More info on the Natiponal Champoionships will be available at britshcycling.org.uk

No, all you need to do is buy a ticket before places sell out. To keep as up to date as possible on release dates and times follow @backyardjambmx on Instagram.

All Under 7 / Little Rippers category will receive a medal.All riders that place in the top 3 of any other category at each round will receive medals.
Top 3’s in youth & amateur categories will also receive product vouchers from our sponsors.

Elite Open & Women Park and Elite Men Street: Top 3 places will receive prize money plus gold, silver and bronze medals.

Elite Open Park: 1st £500, 2nd £250, 3rd £150 (per round)

Women Park: 1st £500, 2nd £250, 3rd £150 (per round)

Elite Open Street: 1st £500, 2nd £250, 3rd £150 (per round)

Elite Open Flatland: 1st £500, 2nd £250, 3rd £150

Early bird tickets will go on sale one month before each event. Standard ticket prices will be in place for the final week before each event. Tickets will go off sale 24 hours before the event.

Yes, this costs £15 for the day. You can ride the park except areas that are being used for the competition. This will also allow you to enter the High Hop contest for no additional charge.

Tickets will go OFF sale 24 hours before each round. You must buy tickets in advance and we have limited places available in each category so we strongly recommend buying your ticket online as soon as possible after they go on sale.

Entry is free and you don’t need a ticket. However, some venues require spectators and riders to register online to be allowed access to the building. Please note if you wish to bring a bike into the park you will need to buy a ticket.

Yes, Eventbrite will charge a small fee for processing the booking. This will vary depending on how much your category entry fee is.

Anyone can enter this. You don’t have to have ridden in the Park or Street contest, as long as you’ve got your bike you can enter.

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. Please check your order confirmation email for more information on how to get a refund.
